Symptoms We See Most

Common power-related failures

Console won't turn on

PlayStation, Xbox, Switch — no lights, no fans, no signal. Could be power supply, fuse, or something on the board.

Console keeps shutting off

Boots up, works for a while, then dies. Often thermal-related but can also be a failing power supply or bad capacitor.

Laptop won't power on

No LED, no fan, no display. Could be the DC jack, the battery, the charger, or the board itself. We test each.

Laptop only runs on charger

Battery no longer holds a charge or the charging circuit failed. Sometimes a new battery fixes it; sometimes it is deeper.

Phone won't charge

Port might be clogged (free cleaning), damaged (soldering repair), or the charging circuit on the board might be blown (board-level repair).

Random reboots & freezes

Sometimes a power-side symptom, sometimes a thermal one, sometimes software. We work through it systematically.

FAQ

Common questions

What kinds of devices do you diagnose for power issues?

Gaming consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch), laptops (Mac and PC), tablets, phones. If it has a power button and it is not working right, bring it in.

What causes power issues?

A few common culprits: bad power supply, blown fuse, damaged charging circuit, failed capacitor, water/liquid damage, corrupted firmware. Some are quick fixes; some are board-level micro-soldering. We diagnose before we quote so you know what you are dealing with.

Is the diagnostic free?

For phones: yes, always. For consoles, laptops, and other devices: we quote the diagnostic cost case-by-case based on how deep we have to go — but we tell you before we start.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes — lifetime coverage on the part we installed and our labor on that repair, for as long as you own the device. It does not cover new damage (drops, liquid, cracks after pickup) or problems not caused by our part or our work. Warranty repairs jump to the top of our repair list.
